Frequently Asked Questions

What is No-Gi Jiu Jitsu?

No-Gi Jiu Jitsu is a form of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) practiced without the traditional kimono or gi. Instead, practitioners typically wear a rash guard and shorts or spats. The absence of the gi means that grips on clothing are not allowed, which leads to a faster-paced and more fluid style of grappling. Techniques in no-gi Jiu Jitsu often emphasize body control, underhooks, overhooks, and positional leverage.
